Town Board Mtg, August 19th, 2025

Present at the meeting: Tim Servais, Jackie Stalsberg, Jill Gettelman, Kyle Semke and Brad Peters, Town Patrolman Eric Ostrem – Zoning Dennis Berg

Minutes: Minutes from July meeting read thru and approved. Motion made and 2nd to approve last month’s meeting.

From the Floor – nothing from the floor

Zoning Report –
Eli Mast on Bunker Hill – submitted the form, but no map or no pictures. They are putting “skid house”. Dennis will be visiting with them on Wednesday. The skid house is movable, the board is asking if the house will be anchor down. The shed MUST be moved per Dennis, it is too close to the road. It is under 35’ from the road. Dennis told him to move it.

Tim Morgan asked for Demo permit – Dennis will get approved
Tim Morgan asked for Fire Number permit – he will be charged 100.00 once we have submitted it.

Fire meeting, working on the budget right now. Fire Dept is needing to set date with Fire Committee on the new truck. They need to get things figured out if they want to include in this years budget.

Treasurer Report – Reviewed all the deposits for the month.
Deposit – $51,609.12
Total Net-worth – $212,412.75

Credit Card processing for taxes is moving forward. Jill is working this program. She now has it and can go out in the system and “play” to practice with the program.

Clerks Report: Discussed the financial report.

Jackie discussed the bills for the month and walked thru each. Motion made and 2nd for making payments of bills for the month.

The Garbage Municipal Agreement with Vernon Cty will be reviewed again. Few questions that we have on it. Jackie will go back to Stacie on it.

Jackie will continue to keep this LRIP program with Vernon County on agenda

Jackie is working on newsletter, we will not mail them out, but we will have it posted online and have posting in the dump area and maybe some copies run to hand out.

Chairmans Report: Tim has been asked about burial on your home property. How do we make sure this is correct, and papers filed. We have been asked about it, the board is asking if we should have something in our zoning. The people will need to go thru the Vernon Cty. We may need to create ordinance. What is the process?

Phil Hewitt, did come and look intersection on Hohlfeld/Schlicht and concern the safety of this intersection. He is going to look at where the state right away and try to see if we can get some support on doing this area due to safety. He will get back to Tim Servais

Cemetery Lane – the road and property Tom Collen was torn up when he black-topped their driveway. The road does have some patching, and we will work on some of it, but there is not much more we can do. The board talked about milling the road and then possible dbl seal. We will not do anything 2025 year, since the budget is done but we will put on the list to review for next year. Eric is going to look more into the LRIP program that we may be able to use?

Patrolman’s Report: Working on several things that have broke during the last month. Normal maintenance

Salt pick up coming up in September. He will mix until full and then stock full – 80-90 ton will maybe needed.

Boom Mower rental – $120.00 per hour. $150.00 per hour to deliver. Vernon county does rent machine and manpower, approx. 135.00 from them. Just FYI for bringing up for discussion.

Vernon County sanitation – they will start getting us the permits once they approve them. New person is Natilie, replaces Ashley that was there previous.
